Paul Murphy Plastics offers product design services that begin with the customer’s expectations for fit,
form and function. From material recommendation to extrusion tooling design and fabrication, our goal
is to deliver a plastic extrusion solution that can be produced consistently across production runs. We
are not in the prototype business; all of our design review is with the intention of producing parts across
the life of a program, not for one or two product samples. This is one of the reasons manufacturers
frequently ask us to examine their existing designs to enhance quality and cost.
For design, we utilize 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) modeling. Our tooling fabrication
processes include lathes, milling machines and EDMs (electronic discharge machines). Our customers
represent an array of industries with equally diverse application needs. We are familiar with major
industry standards and testing procedures.
